We now know how much those previously announced Nintendo Switch 2 Edition upgrades for games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will cost. However, I am afraid it is not going to be a ‘one size fits all’ deal.
As shown on Nintendo’s official store, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will cost £66.99 on its release, but those who already own the game on the original Switch can upgrade their copy for £7.99. This is the same for its sequel, Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
However, while Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World also retails for £66.99 via Nintendo, its upgrade back is £16.99. So, £9 more than Breath of the Wild’s upgrade pack.

This is the same pricing as Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV. As with Kirby, the Switch 2 edition of Super Mario Party Jamboree retails for £66.99, with an upgrade pack available for owners of the original game coming in at £16.99.
