THE BIGGER PICTURE
The Old Trafford club headed into their post-season friendlies in Asia after a dismal season that saw them finish 15th in the Premier League and lose out on the Europa League title with a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham, ensuring they miss out on European football in the 2025-26 campaign.
The likes of Rasmus Hojlund, Kobbie Mainoo, Diogo Dalot, Casemiro, Harry Maguire and Andre Onana started Wednesday's game, but a 71st-minute goal from Muang Maung Lwin ensured their defeat.
